will a toothbrush scratch an acrylic Fish Tank?
i have a small 5 gallon acrylic fish tank and i’ve gotten algae in a lot of the corners and along the edges. i have an acrylic friendly scrapper but it just reach those hard to hit places. so i was wondering if i used a toothbrush if that would scratch the acrylic or do yall have if any other suggestions that would work?
No, What I find scratches acrylic more than anything are when people clean from the top to bottom and accidentally pick up a small piece of sand and rub it throughout the aquarium. Start at the top and gentle clean down to a couple of inches above the substrate. After you’ve cleaned everywhere 2″ above the bottom then carefully lower your cleaning level and be very careful to not scratch the acrylic.
